R.W.M. Bro. Alan Dale & Lodge Office Bearers
In November 2005 when I was Installed as R.W.M. of my mother lodge, Lodge of St Peter 6092 (English Const) I never in my wildest dreams thought that 6 years later I would be installed as R.W.M again in my affilated lodge Lodge Lord Bruce 1601. Saturday 19th November 2011 was an unbelievable experience. I cannot thank my Installing Masters Bro. Peter Easton, Bro. Eddie Drysdale & Bro Robert Clements for making it such a wonderful installation. I would like to thank all brethren who attended the installation and in particular all the visitors who attended.
I had an Installing board of 68 brethren and it is my full intention to visit all the lodges of the brethren who were in that deputation. I can only thank the brethren of 1601 who accepted me after being affilated and I being an englishman (or am I now and adopted Scot I try very hard brethren with my accent and even wearing the kilt at my installation) for the warmth and friendship they extended to me and giving me the great honour of being their R.W.M. and I can promise them i will do everything possible to forward the interest of the lodge and make it the best lodge in the province. To my team of office bearers I look forward to working the various degrees and having had a few practices I know the various degrees will be given in the high standard that is expected in 1601. To all the brethren who attended the Festival of St John I thank them and trust they all had an enjoyable evening, completely diiferent from my previous Festival, this celebration was full of joy and laughter and a sincere thank you to the artistes who participated and in particular to a certain brother from Northern Ireland whose rendering of Davey Crockett was hilarious. To everyone who worked so hard to make this a wonderful and most memorable day a very sincere thank you to you all.
